Ashcroft Dental Surgery
We pride ourselves on the fact that within a very friendly, relaxed and caring environment, we promote dental health to a high standard at all times. Our ethos is ‘Prevention of Dental Disease’ and this is why children are always welcome, however young they are.
Patients with a dental emergency are usually seen on the same day. Outside of surgery hours, an emergency telephone number is available on the answer machine.
Some people feel a deep seated anxiety about dentistry. At every opportunity, individual needs are taken into consideration when planning a course of treatment with a patient. We place a great deal of importance on good communication between ourselves, the team, and also between the dentists and the patients. We encourage and value constructive feedback and are constantly evolving to try and create the optimum environment in which to put patients at ease, and to be able to deliver a high standard of dental care.
Ashcroft Dental Surgery provides treatment for both NHS and PRIVATE patients. When new patients join our practice, the dentists offer both NHS and PRIVATE treatment options. These are discussed at length with the patients, allowing them to make an informed decision.
The Ashcroft Dental Surgery is situated on the ground floor which makes us wheelchair accessible. A designated disabled parking area is located adjacent to the surgery.
Strict confidentiality of patients records and information is maintained at all times. Patients records will not be passed onto any third parties without the patients express permission.
We do require that our patients keep us informed about any changes to their medical history. New patients are asked to complete a confidential Medical History Questionnaire. We need the name of the drugs the patient is on and details of any treatment they may be receiving at the hospital. Patients returning to the surgery for their routine check-ups will be asked to update their medical history. We also require that patients inform us as soon as possible about any changes in their address and/or telephone numbers.
We do ask that our patients attend regularly for their dental check-ups. This ties in with our ethos of prevention and our promotion of dental health. For the benefit of our patients, we provide a courtesy phone call reminder to the patient just before the check-up is due.
